Thanks in advance for the help. I recently purchased a PS3 and want to attach the PS+ account on that system to download the free games each month. I correctly connected my new system with my current PSN information and it recognized me, loaded my trophies, etc. However, when I went into the store, it kept on prompting me to buy PS+ (even though I already have an account).
I called tech support. The gentleman informed me that I need to deactivate my PS4 then activate my PS3. Done. It was still prompting me to purchase a PS+ account. Then he speaks to his supervisor and tells me that the PS+ account I purchased was for my PS4 only, and that it cannot be used to download free games on PS3. Is that true? If I have a PS3, PS4, and Vita, then I need three separate accounts to access the free games? That doesn't seem right to me. If anyone here has an idea about how to resolve my main issue (PS3 prompting me to purchase a subscription) I'd be very thankful.
Many PS2 games are compatible with aPS3 gaming console, but not all. You'd have to check each game individually.
Some 20GB, 60GB and 80GB PlayStation 3 Phat, can read PlayStation 2 Game discs, as they are back wards compatible.
Newer models of the console are not compatible with PlayStation 2 games.
